We’re thrilled to announce that our very own Rio Linda Chamber of Commerce member, Pittador Brews Specialty Teas & Coffees, has won the prestigious Calling All Dreamers 2025 competition! Liliette and Stephen Freeman, the passionate owners of Pittador Brews, have secured a $20,000 cash prize and will be opening a brick-and-mortar location at the Old Sacramento Waterfront this summer.
Pittador Brews, a familiar face at local farmers markets, the California State Fair, and Cosumnes River College, has been a valued member of our Chamber for years. They’re known for their exceptional premium teas, coffees, craft beers, meads, and unique pet-themed drinks, all driven by their mission to create a vibrant, pet-friendly community space.
This exciting win comes after Pittador Brews participated in the Calling All Dreamers program, a six-month business incubator produced by the Downtown Sacramento Partnership. The program provides invaluable mentorship, resources, and a supportive network for entrepreneurs, helping them turn their dreams into reality.
“The Calling All Dreamers program has been an incredible opportunity for Pittador Brews,” said Liliette Freeman. “It has given us the mentorship, resources, and support needed to take our vision from dream to reality.”
For nearly five years, Pittador Brews has been a staple in our community, even serving as the house coffee brand at Rio Java. Their commitment to quality is evident in their carefully sourced beans from around the world, including Malawi, Sulawesi, and Nicaragua, and their wide selection of unique teas.
“With our lease secured in Old Sacramento, the funds we receive will go toward staffing and upgrading to an all-electric coffee roaster, allowing us to roast in-house,” Stephen Freeman explained. “This investment will help us deliver the freshest, highest-quality coffee and tea while creating a welcoming space for the community to gather and connect.”
The Rio Linda Chamber of Commerce is incredibly proud of Pittador Brews’ success and excited to see them bring their unique café experience to Old Sacramento. We encourage everyone to support this local business as they embark on this exciting new chapter. Congratulations, Liliette and Stephen!
